A couple decided to go to the local Chinese restaurant for dinner.
They looked at the menu and agreed to share the chef 's special, Chicken Surprise. The waiter brought the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the woman was about to begin the meal, the lid of the pot rose slightly and she saw two beady eyes looking around before the lid fell down.
‘‘Good grief, did you see that?'' she asked her husband. When the husband reached for it the lid rose again and he saw two little eyes looking around before the lid was firmly put back down.
They called the waiter over and explained what had happened. The waiter asked what they had ordered and was told ‘‘Chicken Surprise.” ‘‘Oh,I do apologise. This is my fault,'' said the waiter.‘‘By mistake, I've brought you the Peeking Duck.''

The little fellow replied:‘‘I smoke three packets of cigarettes a day. I also drink a case of whisky a week, eat fatty foods and never exercise.’’
