issue No 439

APRIL 2003

this month's cover

When the R.I. Convention is held in Brisbane, Queensland, from June 1 to 4 Rotarians and their partners will be able to see The Sunshine State basking in its winter glory. Queensland is a state of progress set in expanses of natural beauty such as the front page photograph of a beach near Cairns in the state’s north. June temperatures are around 21C in the daytime and around 11C at night, ideal for the many day trips available or longer jaunts. There’s a lot to see. 17
